Hortense le Gentil is an Executive Leadership Coach and Marshall Goldsmith (MG100) Certified Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coach. Having earned degrees in both Marketing and Human Behavior, le Gentil’s approach to leadership is rooted in down-to-earth concepts. She specializes in helping people let go of the preconceived notions they have about themselves that are often holding them back.

Born in Paris, le Gentil’s life was mostly ordinary. She graduated from Northeastern University with a BA in Business Administration, with a focus on marketing and cultural behavior. For the next 30 years of her career, she worked in a variety of industries, from media consulting to technological innovation in sustainable metals recycling.

In 2013, she founded JAY Consulting, which was to be the start of her extensive executive leadership coaching career. With her company, she helped a number of high profile clients close the gaps between what they wanted to be and where they currently were. Her empathy and passion for human understanding shows her strong interpersonal skills, and her message of alignment deals specifically with the human dimension.

Hortense le Gentil is the author the book Aligned, which Hubert Joly, CEO of Best Buy called “One of the best leadership books [he’s] ever read.” As a part of Marshall Goldsmith’s 100 coaches program, she’s been widely recognized as an authority on executive leadership coaching, and her reputation is one of immense talent and reverence. She currently lives in New York.
