Raised in New York, Peter earned his B.A. from Princeton University and his M.B.A from Columbia University. In the early years of his career, he worked in various consulting positions in the field of leadership, before starting Bregman Partners in 1998.

As an author, he’s had success with multiple books, including his most recent – Leading with Emotional Courage: How to Have Hard Conversations, Create Accountability, and Inspire Action on Your Most Important Work (July 2018). His book 18 Minutes: Find Your Focus, Master Distractions, and Get the Right Things Done, was a Wall Street Journal Bestseller, and named best business book of the year by NPR.
He is also host of the podcast Bregman Leadership Podcast, which gives listeners insights into the different aspects of leadership through conversations with other leading thinkers and speakers in the field.
